Inspiration Gallery - examples of my refinished furniture

Below is a selection of my work to help inspire you and understand the different techniques that can be used to refinish furniture. These items are all now sold but if you see a design you like I may be able to recreate it for you or use it as the basis for a new design unique for you. Your chosen furniture can be hand-painted, decoupaged with wallpaper or a combination of the two. Sometimes the beauty of the wood needs to take centre stage so I can also restore natural wood finishes. Wallpaper Decoupaged Furniture

The skies the limit when it comes to wallpaper decoupage as there are so many beautiful wallpapers available nowadays. Here are some examples of pieces I have refinished using this technique.

As well as fully decoupaged pieces you can also use wallpaper alongside painted finishes, perhaps on a drawer front or inside a bureau.

Decoupaged pieces are always protected in multiple layers of varnish to give them a durable finish.

Stag Minstrel Furniture

Stag Minstrel is high quality, British made furniture using African cherry wood (Makore). The classic designs allow them to blend in perfectly with many interiors. The only challenge is deciding which colour to go for! Here are a few examples of pieces I have completed.

Bureau Desks

Vintage bureaus can look great refinished as there are so many design options for the inside and outside. It's also an opportunity to use different techniques such as painted, decoupage and wooden finishes on one piece. Here are just a few examples of previous bureaus I have refinished.

Geometric Design Furniture

With a lot of patience (and even more masking tape!) bespoke geometric designs can give you the most stunning and unique piece of furniture for your home.

Other Hand Painted Furniture

Here are some more examples of pieces I have refinished, from vintage dressing tables and old brown sideboards to Lloyd Loom style furniture. These are all customer commissions where I have either been asked to refinish their existing furniture to give it a new lease of life or source a suitable piece of furniture to refinish.
